Background:

  • Mouse thymus virus (MTV) is known to infect thymocytes.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the ultrastructural changes in the mouse thymus following MTV infection.
  • To identify specific cell types susceptible to MTV infection.

Main Methods:

  • Examination of mouse thymus ultrastructure using electron microscopy.
  • Observation of infected thymus tissues at various time points post-infection (p.i.), from 5 to 9 days.

Main Results:

  • MTV infection affected lymphocytes, epithelial cells, and macrophages starting 5 days p.i.
