[Case of peripheral multiple nodular pulmonary carcinoid of the lung]

A case of forty-year-old woman with bilateral small and medium-sized patchy and streaky opacities in the lungs X-ray examination, initially treated as bronchogenous pneumonia, is presented. Because no response after antibiotic, a biopsy of the lung during thoracotomy has been made which provided a proper diagnosis: Argentaffinoma malignum. A patient was given twelve courses of MACC chemotherapy. Control chest X-ray showed an absence of the densities described before.
