Abstract:
Toad poisoning was studied in awake and anesthetized dogs. The intoxication was defined with respect to clinical signs, blood changes, and alterations in electrocardiogram, blood pressure, and respiratory rate. The efficacy of propranolol hydrochloride as an antidote was evaluated.
