Abstract:
This report concerning the topic ultrasound in radiology deals with diseases commonly seen in newborns and infants. Immediate intensive care unit problems are excluded. The diagnostic approach of head trauma, complex lumbosacral dysraphic lesions and septic arthritis is discussed in detail. The impact of ultrasound for hip dysplasia, malformations of the digestive tract and retroperitoneal tumors is also mentioned.
