Abstract:
The neuronal degeneration in specific areas of the brain and cord implicated in the micturition reflexes that present in Shy-Drager syndrome lead to vesicourethral dysfunction in these patients. Because it is unspecific, urodynamic studies are required for correct diagnosis. We report on three patients with this syndrome and compare our findings with those reported to date. The urological complications of this disorder and the different treatments are discussed.
