  • The extensive invasion mimicked advanced gallbladder carcinoma.

Findings:

  • XGC can present with extensive extra-gallbladder invasion, posing a diagnostic challenge.
  • Clinical and radiological features may strongly suggest inoperable gallbladder carcinoma.

Implications:

  • Physicians must consider XGC in the differential diagnosis of gallbladder masses with suspected invasion.
