[Chronic luxation of the mandible. Apropos of 2 recent cases]

The authors report two recent cases of intractable luxation of the temporomandibular joint which was initially overlooked due to the neurologic or geriatric context. Open reduction was performed. The literature is reviewed and the different aetiological forms of the long standing luxations are presented together with the different treatments proposed.
