The structure and functions of an ambulatory care center for HIV/AIDS

For the past decade, the spread of HIV infection in the United States has been marked by dramatic growth, increasing diversity in the population affected, a widening geographic focus and a broadened clinical spectrum. In response to this, the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) of Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH) has provided a structure for clients with HIV/AIDS that is easily accessible, comprehensive, and confidential.
