Abstract:
A lipase-encoding gene was isolated from a genomic library of the insect pathogen Serratia proteamaculans 8805412. The gene encodes a 255-amino-acid polypeptide which has extensive homology to the extracellular phospholipase A1 from S. liquefaciens.
