Abstract:
A review of curricular and non-curricular teaching of European veterinary students is given. Diseases of exotic animals and birds are usually taught separately. Many countries teach about diseases of fishes; the most intensive training programmes seem to be in Norway and Spain. The teaching programmes reflect the increase and diversification in veterinary science as well as the interest and demands of the public in the various countries.
