Abstract:
This paper reports on a case of hepatozoonosis of a dog imported from Italy to Germany. A survey of the biology and ecology of the causative agent as well as the pathogenesis, clinics, diagnosis, therapy and prophylaxis of Hepatozoon canis infection is presented.
