Background:

Obliterant Bronchiolitis with Organizing Pneumonia (BOOP) is a rare interstitial lung disease.
Accurate diagnosis is essential for effective treatment.

Observation:

A 73-year-old male presented with symptoms indicative of BOOP.
Diagnosis was confirmed via minithoracotomy.

Findings:

High-dose methylprednisolone therapy led to significant clinical and radiological improvement.
The patient experienced a satisfactory recovery.

Implications:

This case highlights the importance of recognizing BOOP.
Prompt diagnosis and treatment with corticosteroids can yield excellent therapeutic responses in BOOP patients.
