Abstract:
The advent of cross-sectional, tissue-specific, noninvasive multiplanar imaging methods has enabled the radiologist to probe the etiopathogenesis of soft-tissue lesions of the foot to greater advantage than in the past. High-resolution, high-contrast images are now available so that a wide variety of conditions may be explored, resulting in accurate compartmental localization and assessment of both adjacent tissue as well as vascular invasion and distant metastasis.
