[Experience with Tenckhoff catheter implantation in chronic peritoneal dialysis]
Abstract:
The authors performed 310 Tenckhoff catheter implantations during the last 17 years. They had 64 complications, and 29 cases the catheter had to be changed. The incidence of peritonitis was 0.22 patients/year. They present the technic of implantation, the complications, and the possible abdominal surgeries with the patients under dialysis treatment.
