[Restless legs syndrome. Report of experience]
Abstract:
Clinical presentation and therapy of the Restless-Leg-Syndrome are featured using the report of the author's own case. Although this is a harmless disease, it can considerably reduce the quality of life. The syndrome is not rare (1 to 5% of prevalence). Effective therapeutic means have only been known for a few years. In the presented report, an alternating therapy with L-Dopa and Codeine, given in a rhythm of 2 months, produced very good results. No addiction to the drugs, and in particular no need of a dosage increase was observed during the whole period of 18 months.
