Oral dehydroepiandrosterone in physiologic doses modulates immune function in postmenopausal women

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) supplementation in postmenopausal women with adrenal androgen deficiency modulated immune cells, increasing natural killer cells and enhancing their cytotoxicity. These findings suggest DHEA has immunomodulatory effects with potential antioncogenic benefits.
