Mycobacterium chelonae infection of lymph nodes in an HIV-infected patient

Abstract:
A case of a 28-year-old African HIV-1 positive patient is presented. After an abscess following an intragluteal injection in Africa the patient developed an enlargement of the inguinal lymph nodes. Mycobacterium chelonae was isolated from the enlarged lymph nodes.
