[Three cases of anaphylaxis by tannalbin]

Abstract:
We reported 3 cases of patients developed moderate to severe anaphylactic reaction induced by tannalbin as anti-diarrhoeic. Specific IgE-mediated hypersensitivity to tannalbin was demonstrated by history, prick skin test, RAST and Immunoblotting. We also certified that tannalbin is composed by tannic acid and casein using HPLC and SDS-PAGE.
