Summary

The posterior trapezius myocutaneous flap (PTMF) offers a versatile alternative for head and neck cancer reconstruction. This flap addresses limitations of the pectoralis major flap, particularly regarding donor site aesthetics in females.

Detailed experience with PTMF from the University of São Paulo is reported.
