Summary

A new kidney imaging agent, 99mTc-mercaptoacetyltriglycine (99mTc-MAG3), shows promise for evaluating transplanted kidney function. Its uptake and excretion patterns fall between 99mTc-DTPA and 123I-OIH, offering a valuable new tool.
