Abstract:
Diabetes mellitus has not often been reported in the bovine. In the present report, the condition is described as it occurred in two cows and one calf. Diagnosis was made on the basis of clinical, laboratory and histopathological findings. All animals showed afebrile debilitation and polydipsia. Hyperglycemia was present with a quantitative reduction in the amount of pancreatic islet tissue.
