Abstract
Objective:
To examine the usefulness of liposuction surgery on diabetic patients with lipohypertrophy.
Research Design And Methods:
We treated a diabetic patient who suffered from severe localized thigh lipohypertrophy. When she did not respond to conventional treatment of resting the injection site, we recommended liposuction surgery.
Results:
Our patient's lipohypertrophy was immediately cured by the liposuction procedure.
Conclusions:
Liposuction surgery could be useful in patients with diabetic lipohypertrophy who do not respond to more conservative treatments.
