Abstract:

(+/-) Demethoxy-eleutherol and (+/-) demethoxy-eleutherin were synthesized for studying the relationship between structure and coronary dilation activity. The structures of the two compounds and intermediates were confirmed by means of IR, MS and 1HNMR. Preliminary pharmacological experiments showed no activity for the two compounds.
