[Supermolecular organization of enzyme systems. I. The structural aspect of the problem]

Some plausible forms of supramolecular organization of enzymatic systems and approaches used in their study are considered. The principles of assembly and functioning of a supramolecular product (metabolon) are discussed. Also considered are the structures of several multienzymatic complexes and multifunctional enzymes as illustrative examples of supramolecular organization of metabolic pathways.
