An inexpensive and versatile intraluminal shunt for vascular operations
Abstract:
An inexpensive and versatile intraluminal shunt for vascular operation is presented. The shunt is created using two urinary catheters and a three-way stopcock. This shunt can be used for perfusion in patients with trauma and prolonged revascularization in the lower part of the limb. Various procedures are easy to perform using this shunt without any manipulation of the vessel or shunt. Furthermore, and more importantly, this shunt can be created and used in any hospital.
