Excision and delayed closure of pilonidal sinuses

An alternative drainage procedure, a technique of excision and delayed closure for the treatment of pilonidal sinuses, was used upon 78 patients. The procedure compared favorably with marsupialization as well as the excision and semiprimary closure technique with regard to healing time and low recurrence rates.
