Summary

Anti-endothelial cell antibodies (AECA) are elevated in most connective tissue diseases (CTD). These antibodies correlate with vascular complications like pulmonary hypertension and digital ulcers in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), suggesting a role in disease pathogenesis.
