Abstract:
Recent progress of in situ hybridization techniques for detecting hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA in liver specimens is described. Intrahepatic replication of HCV-RNA has been identified in liver tissues of both chimpanzees and patients with HCV infection by in situ hybridization.
