Abstract:
Diagnostic cytology plays an important role in the management of respiratory diseases, especially in the field of lung cancer diagnosis. This paper deals mainly with the characteristics of various kinds of specimens for cancer cytology, differential cytodiagnostic problems, population screening for detection of early lung cancer, and cytodiagnosis of benign lung lesions.
