Modified block scheduling: an approach to the efficient use of procedure time

As endoscopy departments grow and become busier, an organized approach to scheduling procedures is needed. This article describes three methods for scheduling: open, block, and modified block. The modified block system, which offers greater efficiency and flexibility, is discussed in detail.
