Background:

Infectious mononucleosis, typically caused by Epstein-Barr virus, is a common viral illness.
Skin manifestations are uncommon in infectious mononucleosis, with erythema multiforme being a rare presentation.

A 23-year-old female presented with symptoms of acute infectious mononucleosis.
She subsequently developed a moderately severe case of erythema multiforme.
