Cervical teratoma in infants and children

Teratoma of the neck in infants and children, though uncommon, should be included in the differential diagnosis of neck masses in this age group. Radiographic examination should be an integral part of the patient's evaluation and may allow a definitive diagnosis. The clinical and radiologic aspects of this tumor are discussed. The finding of a soft tissue mass indenting the trachea and containing calcification should indicate the diagnosis of teratoma.
