[Extensive cervical emphysema as a result of laryngeal injury]

The authors describe a case of rare larynx injury in the subglottic region. A fracture of cricoid cartilage caused a presence of air in prevertebral and perithyroid space. The diagnosis has been established on the ground of conventional x-ray examination.
