    Background:

    • Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) can cause various symptoms, including palpitations and chest pain.
    • The efficacy of beta-blockers like propranolol in managing MVP symptoms is not fully established.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the effects of propranolol on symptoms, arrhythmias, and exercise tolerance in patients with mitral valve prolapse.

    Main Methods:

    • A study involving 16 patients diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse.
    • Assessment of symptomatic changes, heart rhythm (arrhythmias), and exercise capacity before and during propranolol treatment.
