This study shows that using a superiorly based thyroid cartilage flap (TCF) for laryngeal reconstruction after vertical partial laryngectomy (VPL) with arytenoidectomy in dogs results in good functional outcomes and airway patency. The TCF effectively reconstructs the larynx, with high rates of arytenoid replacement and pseudocord development.
