Summary

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) effectively detected lesions in acute optic neuritis using fat-suppressing sequences. Both frequency-selective fat-saturation and short inversion time inversion recovery MRI visualized abnormalities in all symptomatic optic nerves.
