Summary
We report the first known cases of father-to-son transmission of parafoveal telangiectasis. Both father and son presented with minimal symptoms, showing small parafoveal telangiectatic vessels and slight subretinal fluid.
Area of Science:
- Ophthalmology
- Medical Genetics
Background:
- Parafoveal telangiectasis is a rare retinal vascular disorder.
- Familial occurrence of parafoveal telangiectasis is infrequently reported.
- The genetic basis and inheritance patterns require further elucidation.
