Prognosis and staging of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma
1Section of Medical Oncology, Boston University Medical Center, Massachusetts, USA.
Abstract:
Staging of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma incorporates both clinical features of the disease, including type of skin involvement and adenopathy, along with histopathologic information from lymph node and bone marrow biopsies. Prognostic significance of bone marrow involvement and gene rearrangement studies on lymph node tissue are discussed, and a simplified staging evaluation is outlined.
