Children's views about health: assessing the implications for nurses

This article explores how children, in interacting with parents, peers and others, acquire their beliefs about health and health-related matters and examines children's lay health beliefs of the importance of ethnicity in structuring their views. These themes are developed in interviews with children about health and health-related matters. The views which emerge are discussed in relation to their implications for nurses.
