t(8;21) detection by RT-PCR: an improved primer set convenient for the routine laboratory

A new set of primers to detect t(8;21) by RT-PCR have been designed. These primers give a more specific PCR amplification than the original primers and can be used with a cycling regime that is already in use for a wide range of other PCR methods in the routine haematology laboratory.
