Repetition and the arcuate fasciculus

Damage to the arcuate fasciculus may not cause speech repetition deficits. This study suggests the arcuate fasciculus is not essential for repeating words and sentences via the lexical route.

- The findings suggest the arcuate fasciculus is not essential for speech repetition through the lexical route.
- This may lead to revised models of language organization and the neural basis of repetition.
- Further research is needed to explore alternative pathways for speech repetition.
