Abstract:
Viruses are among the most common and least recognized causes of joint symptoms--including syndromes misclassified as seronegative rheumatoid arthritis. Parvovirus B19 is notably underappreciated in this role. Many cases resolve spontaneously. The challenge is to exclude nonviral causes of joint disease.
