Monocytes control gamma/delta T-cell responses by a secreted product

Non-irradiated bovine monocytes inhibit gamma/delta T-cell proliferation through a soluble factor. This inhibitory capacity is lost upon monocyte activation or irradiation, suggesting a regulatory role in vivo.
