Summary

Cochlear implantation significantly improves hearing and quality of life in elderly patients. Age should not be a barrier to considering cochlear implants for profound hearing loss.

  • Retrospective study of 28 patients aged 60-80 years receiving Nucleus 22 channel cochlear implants.
