High-dose corticotropin (ACTH) versus prednisone for infantile spasms: a prospective, randomized, blinded study

High-dose adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) is more effective than prednisone for treating infantile spasms (IS). This 2-week treatment suppressed clinical spasms and hypsarrhythmic EEG in most infants, unlike prednisone.
