To buy or not to buy, that is the question

Though people will always need hospital care, it isn't clear if managed care companies will always need to own hospitals. In fact, some executives now say that they can get the care they need at the price they want without the organization itself holding the deed. But others are cringing at the thought of For Sale signs sprouting up on hospital lawns across America. Who wins--and who loses--when managed care companies decide that owning their own hospitals just isn't worth it anymore?
