Summary

Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) occurred in 22% of patients, often with poor prognostic subtypes and advanced disease. This finding suggests CNS infiltration in MCL may be more common than previously thought.

Background:

  • Central nervous system (CNS) involvement is a known complication in non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, with incidence varying by lymphoma histology.
  • Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is characterized by unique features, and CNS involvement has been infrequently reported.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To determine the incidence of CNS infiltration in patients with MCL.
  • To describe the clinical characteristics and outcomes of CNS involvement in MCL.
