Recurrent pisiform bone dislocation can cause chronic wrist pain. Surgical excision of the pisiform bone and a small portion of the triquetrum may resolve this instability.

The pisotriquetral joint is a common site for wrist pain, particularly after trauma.

Observation:

A 17-year-old male presented with chronic pain and recurrent radial dislocation of the pisiform bone.
The injury resulted from a fall on an outstretched arm.
Physical examination revealed instability of the pisotriquetral joint.

Findings:

Surgical excision of the pisiform bone was performed.
An osteocartilaginous fragment from the distal triquetrum was also removed.
Histopathological analysis confirmed the nature of the excised tissue.
