    Summary

    Parotid gland lipomas, benign tumors, can occur on the gland surface, within it, or in the tail region. Surgical excision is effective, with a low recurrence rate after reoperation for any persistent parotid lipoma.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To review cases of lipoma in the parotid region.
    • To characterize the location, presentation, and treatment outcomes of parotid lipomas.
    • To assess the recurrence rate following surgical excision.

    • Retrospective review of eleven cases of parotid lipoma.
    • Analysis of tumor location relative to the parotid gland (periparotid, intraparotid, tail involvement).
    • Documentation of surgical treatment and follow-up for recurrence.

    • Nine periparotid lipomas, one intraparotid lipoma, and one involving both lobes were identified.
    • The parotid tail was the most frequent site of involvement (six cases).
