Abstract:
Considerable controversy exists over the instillation of solutions into the bladder of catheterized patients. The main purpose of this paper is to present existing research-based evidence on the potential advantages and disadvantages of their use to assist practitioners to clarify the issues and to make informed decisions during client care.
